Barbara Ann Christenson, age 79, of Hibbing, died Friday, April 14, 2017, at the Solvay House in Duluth. She was born January 21, 1938, in Fergus Falls, MN, the daughter of William and Larilla (Beckner) Rohwer. She graduated from Hibbing High School. She was united in marriage to Jerry Christenson in Hibbing.

Barbara worked as a representative for various companies. She also worked as a house cleaner and as an artist (painter). She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, the Women of the Moose, and Silver Sneakers at Snap Fitness. She enjoyed working as an artist – painting and doing woodwork.

Barbara is survived by her children: Doug Petty of Sacramento, CA, Debbie (Tom) Devall of Reno, NV, and Allen Christenson of Duluth, MN; grandchildren: Dustin (Molly) McWilliams, Danielle (Dennis) Whaley, Tyler Devall, Zachary Devall, and A.J. Christenson; her sister: Dee Greenwood of Hibbing, MN; her brother William (Mary) Rohwer of Kelly Lake; brother-in-law: Rudy (Elberta) Christenson of Hibbing, MN; her sister-in-law: Donna Christenson; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Jerry; and her brothers-in-law: Mike Greenwood, Phil Christenson, and Marty Leathers; and sister-in-law: Anna Rae Leathers.
