Averille Ruth Lislegard, age 86 of Embarrass died Saturday, November 14, 2015 in the Edgewood Vista Care Community. She was born December 5, 1928 in Tuttle, North Dakota, the daughter of Jesse and Margaret (Thorne) Knepper, and attended Badger, MN Schools. She married Ingvald Emanuel Lislegard on April 29, 1947 in Pinecreek, MN. They lived in Roseau, farmed west of Badger and in Pinecreek moving to Embarrass in 1950. Averille was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Embarrass where she taught Sunday School and Bible School. She was a Girl Scout Leader, loved attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events and activities, and cherished time spent with family. She is survived by children: Jerry Lislegard of Cook, Christine (Rodney) Dale of Embarrass, Michael (Diana) Lislegard of Embarrass Heidi (Mark) Pelkey of Tower and Melinda (Bruce) Warren of Embarrass; grandchildren: Randy (Brandi) Lislegard, David (Lisa) Lislegard, Joel (Scott Anderson) Lislegard, Jolie Lislegard, Karen (Ryan) Lindseth, Rhonda (Dan) Boelk, Roger Dale, Lisa (Scott) Gibson, April (Martin) Ahlijah, Elizabeth Gade, Kyle Durbin, Emma Fox, and John Fox; great-grandchildren: Jaden, Shayler, Bralyn, Zander, Hailey, Nadia, Mia, Kara, Trevor, Allyson, Gabrielle, Matthew, Jacob, Morgan, Ranae, Claire, and Imani; siblings: Margaret Magnuson, Phyllis Ekeland, Jesse (Glen) Larson and David Knepper; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
