  St. Clair resident Austin H. Riemann, age 92, passed away on October 18, 2022, at Pathstone Living in Mankato.

  The Riemann Family will greet friends on Saturday afternoon from 12 P.M.

  Austin was born in Seaforth, Mn to Philip and Emma (Gollmer) Riemann on June 28, 1930. Austin was drafted in 1952 into the United States Army. He completed his basic training at Camp Roberts in California. He spent eight years in the reserves on heavy artillery duty. He was honorably discharged February 20, 1960, due to hardship in the family. Austin married the love of his life, LaVine Grave, on August 18, 1956, in Vesta, Mn. They went on to have seven children and in 1969 made their final residence, St. Clair, Mn.

  Austin worked for many years in road construction as an equipment operator. He also worked as a  salesman for many years. After retiring Austin took an interest in woodworking, making many unique pieces for his family and friends.

  Austin is survived by his seven children: Kelly Kroenke of St. Clair, Clayton (Dee) Riemann of Mankato, Deborah (Steve) McCollum of St. Clair, Todd (Terese) Riemann of Amboy, Rodney (Nena Ryckman) Riemann of Hammond, WI, Chad (Dawn) Riemann of New Prague, and Kimberly (Lorenzo) London of Cottage Grove; his nineteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.

  He was proceeded in death by his wife, LaVine J. Riemann; parents, Philip and Emma Riemann; sister, Irene Bussinger; brother, Philip Riemann, Jr.; sister, Agnes Hulke; and in-laws, Henry and Linda Grave.

  A special thank you to the staff at the Good Samaritan Society in Winthrop, Mn for their kindness and compassion for our father while he was in their care.
