Audrey Earnell Kimmons, 56, transitioned on Friday, March 10, 2023, at her residence in New Albany, MS.

Audrey Earnell Kimmons was born to Leo and Winnie Kimmons June 12, 1966 in New Albany, MS. Audrey gained her wings on March 10, 2023 after a graceful and courageous battle with cancer. 

She was a graduate of W.P. Daniel High School. Audrey had many skills and talents that allowed her to work at various jobs over her lifetime. She was employed by TVA Housing Authority, apartment manager at Union Apartments, and Baptist Memorial Hospital, Union County to name a few. When she resided in Arkansas for a season, she was employed with the government signing people up for the Affordable Healthcare Program.

Audrey was a committed and faithful member of Zion Chapel M.B. Church where she accepted her call to the Ministry. She was passionate about spreading God’s Word and helping those in need. She was a Sunday School teacher, Youth Leader, and Women’s Ministry President. Minister Audrey loved praise and worship music. You often found her praising the Lord loud and proud. While living in Arkansas, she attended the Restoration Church-Pastor Dexter and Genette Howard and Rain of Grace Ministries-Pastor Ifanta. Wherever she traveled and whoever she met, she was a “Soldier in God’s Army.”

She also loved cooking, specializing in pound cakes and chicken and dressing. She fulfilled her life’s work in 56 years with teaching, encouraging, lifting, building and prophesying about the goodness of God. Her works will forever speak for her.

Her life and legacy is lovingly remembered by her sons, Justin Kimmons (Stephanie) and Ferrick Tremell Kimmons both of New Albany, MS, grandchildren; Justis, Jordan, Journee Kimmons and Darion Jackson all of New Albany, MS, her father and mother; Leo and Winnie Kimmons of New Albany, MS, brother; Leo Kimmons (Jennifer) and sister Candace Marie King both of New Albany, MS, her grandmother, Enola Edwards of Beloit, WI, god-children; Jariel Boles and James Golden, a special young man that she mentored, Steven Conner, special friends; LaQuita, Saretta and Morissa, aunts, uncle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, the Zion Chapel Church Family and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Marvalee and Catherleen Pegues and Orin Kimmons.
