Assaf W. Choueiri, of West Roxbury, formerly of Boston’s South End, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on April 8, 2022. He was 71 years old.
Known as “The Mayor of the South End,” and the “King of Zahle,” Assaf worked for many years for the Lord and Taylor company. He enjoyed reading any magazines or newspapers he could get a hold of. He was a helper in the truest form of the word. Always offering advice on how to fix things and would help anyone with anything they needed. Assaf loved his part time job over the past several summers, working at the Bubbling Brook Restaurant. Above all else, he was happiest surrounded by his loving family.
Assaf was the dear and devoted husband of Diane (Kadey). Loving father of Michael and his wife Chelsea of Norwood. Dear brother of the late Georgette Maalouf, Zakie El-Chekieh, and Tanios Choueiri. Dear brother-in-law of Neil Kadey and his wife Christine of Maine. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, Godchildren and cousins, here and in Lebanon.
