Arthur Gerloff, Jr., 81, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, December 1st, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Gerloff was born in Cooper Hill, Missouri on January 20, 1930, the son of the late Arthur H., Sr. and Leona A. (Nixon) Gerloff.

Arthur attended grade school at McKittrick and graduated from Hermann High School.

Arthur served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a tank driver and gunner from 1952-1953.

He was a farmer and enjoyed mushroom hunting, arrowhead hunting and raising honey bees.

He was the husband of Judith J. (Uthlaut) Gerloff. They were married on April 6, 1957 at St. Pauls E & R Church, Hermann. Judy survives on the family farm north of Hermann.

Arthur is also survived by three daughters Cindy Gerloff of Owensville, Teresa Gerloff-Englert of Hermann, Sueann Kaiser & husband Dave of Hermann, a son John Gerloff of Hermann, a brother Kenneth Gerloff & wife Hazel of Hermann, a sister Norma Eggert of Berger, by three grandchildren Caleb Englert & Megan & Daniel Gerloff and by five step grandchildren John, Sarah, Mary, Sam & Benny Kaiser. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Shirley May Gerloff.

He was a member of Hermann United Methodist Church, Hermann, the Hermann V.F.W. Post 4182 and Farm Bureau.
