Arthur “Art” Raymond Bjerga, age 89, a longtime resident of Hibbing died Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Hummingbird Assisted Living in Meadowlands. He was born May 29, 1925 in Orwell Twp., Ottertail County, the son of Albert and Raghnild ((Djuvik) Bjerga. Art was a Navy Veteran of WWII serving aboard the USS Adhara and the USS Thomas; and a member of the former VFW Post 8510. He was a driver for Century Motor Freight for over 30 years. Art had a strong work ethic and a great sense of humor. He especially enjoyed the outdoors.
