Arnold Louie Dunn, 87, of Steelville, MO passed away on Monday, January 12, 2009 in Steelville. He was born September 21, 1921 to Marion Jackson Dunn and Alice (Kent) Dunn in Oates, Missouri. On June 1, 1974, he was married to Edith Rosella (Dicus) Hardin in Oates, Missouri.
In addition to his wife of thirty-four years, he is survived by his children, Rita Ricketts of Steelville, MO, Darryl Dunn and wife Nadine of TX, Lavonna Gay Bell and husband Lyle and Bradley Dunn and wife Janice all of NE, Berta Sue Wheelock and husband James and Pam Ellis and husband John all of CO and Kenny Dunn and wife Janice of IL; step-children, Joyce Hanks and Jeanette Wisdom and husband Ron of Steelville, MO, Jerry Hardin of Cuba, MO, Joe Hardin and wife Barb of Union, MO, Sandra Zulpo and husband Earnie of St. James, MO and Dennis Hardin and wife Bonnie of Joplin, MO; one step-daughter-in-law, Geraldine Dicus of Steelville, MO; one sister, Wanda Pearl Outlan and friend Richard Dunson of Carbondale, IL; three brothers; Kenneth Elwood Dunn and David Earl Dunn and wife Elizabeth all of Steelville, MO and Bobby Olin Dunn and wife Jennifer of Potosi, MO; one sister-in-law, Nora Fay Dunn of Arcadia, MO; eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, fourteen step-grandchildren, thirty-two step-great-grandchildren;other relatives and friends.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents; two step-sons, Gene Dicus and Danny Hardin; stepson-in-law, Earl Hanks, Jr.; one brother, Orville Dunn; one sister, Ola Mable Ross and husband William and one sister-in-law, Goldie Dunn.
Arnold worked on the freight docks in St. Louis and as a laborer at Grammers Fruit Packers in Murphysboro, IL before retiring.
Arnold enjoyed traveling and especially to Colorado when his health permitted.
He was a member of the Coffee Community Church.
