Ms. Arlene Hicks Wicks, 70, transitioned on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Methodist Hospital, in Olive Branch, MS.
Ms. Arlene Hicks Wicks was born March 6, 1952 to the late Autry and Christine Hicks in Holly Springs, Mississippi.
On April 30, 1977 she was united in holy matrimony to Aubry L. Wicks. She spent most of her career within the childcare industry. She worked at CADET Childcare as a cook for over 16 years and lastly received her certification as an assistant teacher working for ICS Headstart.
She was most proud of having the opportunity to help raise her first granddaughter as one of her own children (Takeva M. Hicks). They had a special and unbreakable bond as mother/daughter.
She is survived by her three sons Marcus Hicks (Chiquita) of Holly Springs, MS, Fharon Mack Hicks (Melanie) of Memphis, TN, Shauntaurus Wicks (Terica) of Olive Branch, MS; eight grandchildren, Takeva Hicks, Alveshia Turner, Marcus Hicks II, Xavier Hicks, Shauntaurus Wicks Jr., Galen Hicks, Camron Wicks and Marus Hicks; one great-grandchild, Amir Hicks; one brother, Willie Hicks (Mary) of Clarksville TN; eight sisters, Lillian Brooks of Clarksville, TN, Rubye Daniels (Ron) of Chicago, IL, Addie H. Boga, Lavern H. Zinn (Alfred), Charlene H. Moore, Margaret H. McDonald (Charles), Ruthie H. Gatewood (Elester) all of Holly Springs, MS, Katie H. Autry (Billy) of Oxford, MS; She also leaves four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law; a special cousin, James Reliford (Ira) a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Aubry L. Wicks, her parents Autry & Christine Hicks and three brothers, James Wright, Leroy Hicks and Lee A. Hicks;
