Portland – Anne J. Warren, 85, died unexpectedly February 15, 2016, at her home in Portland. She was born on December 10, 1930, in Portland, one of nine children of Angelo Falcone and Pasqualina (DeRisi) Falcone. She grew up in East Deering and lived her entire life in the City, graduating from Portland High School in the Class of 1948.
Anne married David S. Warren in 1952, and they lived for most of their years together in the Libbytown neighborhood, where they raised their children David and Sharon. A communicant at St. Peter’s Church in her younger years, Anne became a parishioner at St. Patrick’s Church after moving to Libbytown. She was also a longtime and active member of the Italian Heritage Center, enjoying bocce tournaments and other activities at the club. After her husband’s passing in 2001, Anne remained deeply engaged in the lives of her six grandchildren, whom she adored, and was blessed to be able to live independently to the very end of her life.
~Anne was predeceased by her husband David and by her brothers Louis, James, and Bernard Falcone, and sisters Mary Wilson, Louise Poitras, Mafalda (Sally) Jolly, and Rose McCullum. She is survived by her brother Joseph Falcone; by her daughter Sharon Crawford and her husband Scott of South Portland; by her son David Warren of Portland; and by her grandchildren Michael A. (Tony) Giordano, Jr.
