Anna Mae Singley Tolar, age 90, passed away on August 26, 2021, from Leukemia (CLL). She was born to Readus and Cleta Singley on May 6, 1931 in Columbia, Mississippi. Anna was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church since 1954, and was a Worthy Matron of Anna O’Neill Chapter of Eastern Star. In May of 1994, she retired from the Biloxi Yacht Club. Anna was a former member of ABWA, a member of Jackson County Master Gardeners Club, and a member of the Senior Citizens Line Dancers. Anna loved to swim, garden, crochet, and vacation in Destin, FL. Anna was a loving mother, daughter and friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents, Readus and Cleta Singley; brother, John Singley and his wife, Zellie Singley; sister-in-law, June Singley; brother-in-law, Richard J. Mitchell.

Anna is survived by her siblings, Mildred (Johnny) Patterson, Rayford Singley, Brigette Mitchell, and William B. (Marsha) Singley; daughters, Teresa (Michael) Waltman of Hurley, MS, Jayne (Will) Howell of Pascagoula, MS, Freda Tolar of Gautier, MS, and Lori Roberts of Ocean Springs, MS; grandchildren, Stephanie (Martin) Jones, Alisha H. Gaines, Maegan A. Vandevender, James M. (Samantha) Roberts, Logan T. Roberts, Samuel J. Meagher (David), and Madelyn Corinne Roberts; great-grandchildren, Blake (Katie) Scarberry, Tyler Scarberry, D.J. Stevenson, Kaeli Vandevender, and Kendall Vandevender, Remington Roberts; great-great- grandchildren, Natalie, Elliana, and Shavonne.
