Age 88, passed away on Wednesday,February 9, 2011. Anna was born on July 26, 1922 in Westphalia the daughter of Joseph and Dora (Schueller) Schafer. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Westphalia, the Christian Mothers Society, the Rosary Group, and the Mother Pauline Society. Anna volunteered at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor in St. Johns. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and gardening. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Roman; son, Larry; siblings Norbert Schafer, Bertha Fedewa, Paul Schafer, Jim Schafer, Florence Schrauben, and Joan Schafer. Surviving are her daughters Jane (Lee) Weber, Marlene (Darrell) Hengesbach and Linda (Dave) Platte; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters Rita (Carl) Schaefer and Mary Schafer; brothers Joseph Schafer, Mark (Arlieta) Schafer, Tony (Rose) Schafer and Jerry Schafer; many nieces and nephews.
