Mrs. Furman was employed at Michigan Bell in Ionia as an operator and also worked as a clerk at the U.S. Post Office in Muir. She attended the Muir Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Evergreen Chapter #334 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Lyons. She married Ralph Furman in 1946 and he preceded her in death on July 18, 1993. Also preceding her in death were her parents; Surviving are 2 sons, David (Jeanette) Furman of Ionia and Douglas (Christina) Furman of Florida; 4 daughters, Diane (William) Bennett of Escanaba, Dona (Dave) Gillson of Orleans, Marsha Carrizales of Fenwick, and Fern (Doug) Feehan of Belding; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Elsie (Albert) Furman of Saranac.
