Amos Miller, 87, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at New Haven Care Center.
Mr. Miller was born in Mill Creek, Illinois on January 15, 1923, the son of the late Seth Amos and Anna Bell (Wilson) Miller.
He was the husband of Lily (Smith) Miller. They were married March 21, 1945 in Nottingham, England, she survives in New Haven.
Amos is also survived by a son Terry Miller of New Haven, a daughter-in-law Pat Miller of New Haven, a sister Anna Bell Recklein of Arizona, by grandchildren Sherri Marie Miller of Wellsville, Teresa Lee Alton & husband Jesse of Washington, Dawn Moncey and husband Craig of St. Charles, Rebecca Elbert and husband Michael of New Haven, Stephen Miller & wife Angela of New Haven and Matthew Ver Miller and wife Janna of Lake Wood, Colorado and by 12 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son Michael Miller.
He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church of New Haven and the V.F.W. Post of Washington, Missouri. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and he worked as a yard clerk for Burlington Northern.
