Mrs. Hengesbach was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Portland and her joys were gardening, flowers and cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Ann and Jacqueline and a brother, Peter. Surviving are husband of 57 years, Joseph; children Debra (Roy) Wallace of Lansing, Michael of Portland, Sheila (Randy) VanWormer of Palmetto, FL. Gail of Grand Ledge, Joseph (Sue), Steven (Jean), Edward (Tracy), and Laurie (Richard) Krausz all of Portland, Faye (Dale) Schmitz of Fowlerville and Amy (Kevin) Robbins of Holland; 26 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Edward and John; 2 sisters Mary Laboda and Kathleen (Oscar) Olander and many nieces and nephews.
