Scarborough – Allen E. Wildes, 65, of Kennebunkport passed away on October 17, 2013 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. He was born on December 6, 1947 to Sydney E. and Regina (Houde) Wildes. He graduated in 1966 from Kennebunk High School. After graduation, he worked for the Maine Turnpike, where after 29 years, 7 months and 29 days plowing and maintaining the Turnpike, he retired.
After retiring, he went to work for RSU 21 as a bus driver and he loved each and every one of “his kids” that rode his bus and thought of them like his own. He also drove the trolley and bus for York County Community Action during the summer months and enjoyed meeting all the tourists on his routes.
He purchased his family home where he and his wife and soulmate, Clenda, have made many, many warm and loving memories.
No one ever had a bigger heart than he did. His love for his family never failed. He was there with hugs, smiles and whatever you needed. Allen especially loved playing cribbage with his friends and family. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #76, serving twice as master, and was a member of the Shriners.
Allen is preceded in death by his grandson, Alexzander Springer. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Clenda B. Wildes, two daughters; Jillana Lombardo and her husband Santo of Kennebunk and Leighanne Springer of Kennebunkport, one son; Kris Springer and his wife, Melissa of Wilbraham, MA, four grandchildren; Max, Ethan, Sara and Olivia Springer. He is also survived by two brothers; William Wildes of Kennebunkport and Henry Wildes and his wife Carmen of Augusta and one sister; Elaine Brown of Shapleigh, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
