Mrs. Akers is survived by her 2 sons: Roy Morgan Akers, Jr and Mark Anthony Akers; daughter, Stephanie Robin Akers; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy M. Akers, Sr., parents: Hershell and Pernella Kirkman nee Hamilton, daughter, Barbara Morrow, brothers: Hershell Kirkman, Jr., and Morris Kirkman, sisters: Geraldine Jackson and Elizabeth Thomas. Mrs. Akers enjoyed family time and playing scratchers lottery tickets. She loved playing cards, Pepsi and bar-b-que. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
