Alice Mildred Bergstrom, the daughter of Clara (Bjornerud) and Edward Tangen, was born on May 8, 1924 in Fosston, MN. She grew up in Fosston and graduated from Fosston High School in 1943. She moved out to Oregon and worked in the shipyards. She moved to Roseau after the war and worked at the Land-O-Lakes Creamery. She and Charles Bergstrom were married on June 18, 1947. They lived in Roseau, where Alice worked at the Robertson Style Shop, and later to Wannaska, MN. She stayed at home to raise their four children. Later on, Alice worked at Northern Upholstery and Polaris Industries.
Alice Bergstrom passed away on October 1, 2006 at the Sheltering Oaks Manor in Roseau at the age of 82.
She will be remembered for her kindness toward others and how she treated others with respect, and was always a happy person.
