Raymond-Aldine I. Meserve, 84, of Raymond passed to a higher life on May 31, 2013 at the Hospice House in Auburn after a year-long battle with lung cancer.
She was born June 26, 1928 in North Raymond, the daughter of 0. Elliott and Marzie (Hodgkins) Tripp. She attended local schools and graduated from Pennell Institute, in Gray, in 1947.
She was an active, 70 year member of Sabbathday Lake Grange #365 where she held many offices. She joined the Cumberland Androscoggin Pomona (later North Cumberland Pomona) where she served as a Junior Deputy of the Maine State Grange. Later as a member of the Androscoggin Pomona she served as Secretary for many years. Aldine was a member of the Maine State Grange and a Seventh Degree member of the National Grange. At the time of her death, she was a member of Danville Jct. Grange #65.
Aldine is survived by eight children, five daughters – Marzie and Dale Burnell, Roberta Meserve all of Raymond, Carol and Darrell St. Lawrence, Susie and Buzz Faulkner all of Hudson and Norma Meserve of Raymond and three sons, David and Kathy Meserve of Auburn, Jim and Judy Meserve of Farmingdale and John and Barbara Meserve of Casco, eighteen Grandchildren, twenty Great Grandchildren and three nieces a” Kathy Thayer of
Veazie, Marilyn Tripp and Renie and Erland Holt of Leeds. She was pre-deceased by brothers Donald and Reginald.
