Albert William Wehlitz, 81, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012, at his home in Damariscotta. He is survived by his wife, Lee Kinard Wehlitz; daughter Caralyn Bushey; step-children James Hicks, Stuart Hicks and Margaret Hicks. Al was also delighted to be Grandpa to Grace and Jack Hicks. In addition to his family, Al left many dear friends at Schooner Cove, especially Ann Wileman, who brought him so much happiness and companionship during the last years of his life. Al was born in Chicago, IL on June 27, 1930. He grew up in Evanston, IL and served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He attended the Illinois Institute of Technology, then spent a career in the banking and building industry. He loved boating, fishing and participating in local theater productions.
