Albert T. A.T. Wools of St. James passed away Friday morning June 6, 2014 at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James. He was 93 years 9 months and 23 days of age.

A.T. was born August 14, 1920 in Newburg, Mo., the son of the late Albert and Ethel Mae Frost Wools.

On May 31, 1941 at the St. James Church of God, A.T. married Alma Nadine Keasling. Nadine entered into rest December 22, 2012.

A.T. Wools is survived by dear sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Mary Wools and Ritchie and Linda Wools all of St. James, one dear daughter Alberta Kelley of St. Louis. He is further survived by one brother and sister-in-law Edward and Jo Wools of St. James along with two sisters Laura Mae Copeland of St. James and Irma Ragsdale of Columbia, Mo. A. T. was especially proud of his 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A.T. Wools is preceded in death by his parents one brother Earl Henry Wools and one sister Jessie Jewell Jackson.

A.T. Wools was a very outgoing person who never met a stranger. You always knew if A.T. was in the room. A.T. was a friend to everyone his gentle teasing always made you feel good to be around him. He loved his family and loved to hunt. A lot of memories were made at the annual deer hunt and many trips to South Dakota Pheasant hunting. Many times checking the cattle on their farm he would shoot some squirrels or some birds. A.T. was a veteran of World War II and had a great skill for shooting in the Combat Infantry Badge where he received many medals and ribbons he will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
