Albert Lloyd Swanson of Vichy, Missouri passed away at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri on Saturday, March 14, 2009. He was 80 years, 8 months, and 18 days of age.
Albert was born on June 24, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri to his parents: William C. and Minnie F. (Froeschner) Swanson. Albert was united in marriage to Diane Cook on December 30, 1950 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. To this union four children were born.
Albert served in the United States Army. He was a very devoted Vichy Volunteer Department Volunteer. He was a retired electrician and he worked most of his life for Olin Brass in St. Louis, Missouri. Albert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Surviving Albert is his wife of the home: Diane (Cook) Swanson of Vichy, Missouri; son; Stanley Swanson and wife Claudia of Lusk, Wyoming and daughter: Phyllis Shanker and husband Steve of St. Peters, Missouri; one sister: Wilma Alberta Jacobs of St. Louis, Missouri; along with five grandchildren: Eric Swanson; Brian Swanson and wife Lisa; Adam Swanson; Paul Shanker and wife Randi; and Andrea Shanker.
Preceding Albert in death is his parents William C. and Minnie F. (Froeschner) Swanson; two sons: Larry Lloyd Swanson and Roger Allen Swanson; two brothers: Clyde Swanson; and Sydney Swanson and one sister: Amanda Hollowell.
