Albert Clarke Caterina, 84, of Port Charlotte, Florida formerly of Portland, died Friday August 22, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Portland, he was a son of Anthony and Doris House Caterina.
He graduated from Portland High School the Class of 1949 and Bentley College the Class of 1956. While in high school, he was active in sports. In 1948, he was captain of the football team and received the “Most Valuable Player” award that same year.
Albert was in the US Naval Air Force from 1950 to 1953.
He was employed by Pickard & Burns Co. in Waltham, MA from 1956 to 1968, the St. Regis Paper Co. in NYC, NY from 1968 to 1978.
