Mrs. Schrauben retired from General Motors after 28 1/2 years of service and has been a resident of Portland since 1942. She married Lawrence W. Carr on July 28, 1935 and he preceded her in death in 1972. Also preceding her in death was a daughter Shirley A. Walker in 1992. Surviving are her children, Sandra M. (Lee) Pitchford of Clare, William D. (Carolyn) Carr of Allegan, Robert J. (Diane) Carr of Portland, and Charles E. (Connie) Carr of Portland; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. In 1974 she married Clarence I. Schrauben and he preceded her in death in 2000.
