Adell Adeline “Granny” Dunda, age 84, lifelong resident of Chisholm died Thursday, May 05, 2016, at the Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing. She was born July 2, 1931, in Wyandotte, MI, the daughter of Manley and Ellen (Rushlow) Fryckman. She graduated from Chisholm High School. Adell was united in marriage to Michael Dunda on September 30, 1950, in Chisholm.
Granny worked as a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Chisholm. She enjoyed crocheting for the family, and was an avid sports fan. Granny celebrated 40 years of sobriety.
Granny is survived by her children: Michael (Sandra) Dunda of Chisholm, and Suzanne McLaughlin (Steve Zeitler) of Sun City, AZ; four siblings: Tim (Francine) Fryckman of Anoka, MN, Delores Froeming of Kenosha, WI, Joyce McDonough of California, and Melford (Jean) Fryckman of Chisholm; her sister-in-law and best friend: Helen Fryckman of Chisholm; grandchildren: Clayton Gross, Keri Fraser, Aaron Gross, Stephanie Owens, Kristian Dunda, Patrick, Cayle, and Matthew McLaughlin, and Mary Cianni; and great-grandchildren: Robyn, Jack, Wren, Maggie, Thane, Glory, Owen, Clara, Gavin, Seth, and Kyle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Michael; her partner: Larry Warpula; and siblings: Ruth, Oscar, Leo, and Stanley.
