TAUNTON – Adelaide (Netinho) Perry, wife of the late Charles Perry, died at Caritas Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton on Feb. 25, 2011.
She was 86.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Antonio G. and Maria (Soares) Netinho.
She was educated in New Bedford schools and moved to Taunton in 1946.
A homemaker for most of her adult life, Mrs. Perry took great pride in her home, and was a perfectionist in everything she did.
She loved animals, especially Miss Pussycat and Tiny, and enjoyed dancing, cooking and trying new recipes.
She was also an avid Bruins and Red Sox fan.
Survivors include her son, Charles “Butch” Perry and his wife Linda of East Taunton; two brothers, Richard Netinho and his wife Ellen of New Bedford, and Donald Netinho and his wife Violet of FL; a sister, Rose McGuire and her husband Ronald of VA; two grandchildren, Susan Faria and her husband Scott of Berkley, and Debra Gatto and her husband Richard of Taunton; two great grandchildren, Matthew and Megan Faria, both of Berkley; a brother-in-law, Antone Flor of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Thursday, March 3rd at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 2nd from 5 to 8 p.m.
