O. Evelyn Heady, 84 years, of Jacksonville, IL died May 19, 2006 at the Barton W. Stone Home in Jacksonville.
She was born October 21, 1921 in Coffeyville, KS; the daughter of Samuel and Minnie Johnson Fravel. She married James Ewing Heady on January 16, 1941 in Nowata, OK and he preceded in death on August 3, 2004.
She is survived by two sons, James Robert “J.R.” Heady (wife, Doris) of South Jacksonville and Michael R. Heady (wife, Patty) of South Jacksonville; a daughter, Joyce Bunk (husband, Jim) of Stevensville, MI; seven grandchildren; Rob Heady, Angie Henderson, Tim Heady (wife, Jennifer), Melissa Heady, Mike Bunk (wife, Beth), Cindy Jones (husband, Rick), and Deanna Bennett (husband, Loyall); 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Zimmer of Coffeyville, KS and Opal Fravel of Conway, AR.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Heady was formerly employed at Merriganâ??s Restaurant, Kordite, and Capitol Records , all in Jacksonville. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Jacksonville and was a founding member of the Jacksonville Area Al-Anon.
