O.D. “Otis” Sanders passed away December 5, 2020 in Ogden, Utah. He was born on December 4, 1943.
O.D. was a very strong but soft-spoken man. He loved all kinds of sports. He loved Cadillac’s and Chevy’s and had several. He was a hard worker and always willing to serve others and be helpful. O.D. was dependable and straight forward, a sharp and immaculate dresser, and never without a hat.
For many years he worked for Big D Construction, and often traveled throughout the state. He also worked in the oil fields in Wyoming and California.
O.D. was well respected in the community and known as Colonel Sanders or Deduss.
O.D. is survived by his wife Dunnese Scott, his children Stacey Sanders, ReNae Scott, Donald Scott and Aundre Scott. Grandchildren Cedric Booker, Darius Burrus, Akeem Booker, Nicholas Scott, Julius Scott, Kaitlyn Scott, Ashley Johnson, Lucretia Scott, Shanae Sanders, Martis Sanders-Cooper, Aundre Scott Jr., Shaziana Scott, and Shaley Scott. He is preceded in death by his son Nathaniel Sanders, his mother Sue Oliver, and brother Curtis Wise.
