Numan Hugh Garrison, Jr. – “Newt”, of Destin passed away October 25, 2006. Newt was born December 6, 1934 in Upland, CA. He graduated from Florida Southern College and served as a Captain in the US Army. Newt spent his entire career in the shipping container business – the majority of the time with Weyerhauser Company. He is survived by his wife Patricia and four children – Sara Jensen (husband Skip), Bradley (wife Marian), Neil (wife Carol), and Jennifer Noelle. Newt also had six grandchildren.
He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
