Shirley Novis Finley was born in Randolph County, Alabama on August 8, 1937. Novis went to be with The Lord on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She was raised in Riverview and settled in Valley, Alabama where she worked at West Point Pepperell as a Hemmer until retirement. Novis and her husband, Richard Finley, were members of Shawmut First Baptist Church.
Novis is celebrating in heaven now with her daughter, Gayle Finley, her son, Dennis Finley, daughter-in-law Rhonda Finley, and her parents, Willis and Lila Smith.
Novis is missed by her husband, Richard Finley, daughter Shelby (Ben) Polidoro, grandson Adam Finley, granddaughters, Cassey Finley and Amanda (Christian) Demyan, and great-grandsons Carter Demyan and Walker Demyan.
Novis deeply loved her Savior and her family. She enjoyed traveling and watching hummingbirds. She also loved cooking for her family and her pecan pies were loved by all.
