Bud was born on May 3, 1926 in Norfolk, the son of Arthur and Amelia (Martin) Klug. He attended school at District 26 in Stanton County. On April 8, 1947, Bud married Ella Johnson at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Bud delivered milk for Gillette Dairy, then in 1948 he began farming on the family farm in Stanton County. Bud retired from farming in 2006 and he and Ella moved to Norfolk.
Bud was a devoted family man.
Bud is survived by his wife of 68 years Ella, daughter Bonnie (Michael) Franta, son Randy (Nancy) Klug all of Norfolk, grandchildren Garry Pollman of California, Scott Pollman of Norfolk, Brett (Michelle) Klug of Gretna, Tara (Larry) Steiger of Lincoln, three step-granddaughters, eight great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Raymond, Lloyd, Marvin and LeRoy Klug.
