Norrest “Twin” Rice, 40, passed away on October 31, 2022. He was the husband of Candice Rice. They shared 18 years together.
Born in Chicago, Ill, he moved to Lakeland, Florida as a freshman in high school. He graduated from Mulberry High School with his identical twin brother, Forrest Wesley Rice, where they played basketball and football.
He will be remembered for his exuberant personality and love for basketball. Norrest made sure to attend recreational basketball games even when he was unable to play himself and talked “smack” to all in attendance to let them know he was still the best player in the gym.
He is survived by spouse, Candice Rice; his five-year-old daughter, Kendi Rice; mother, Gail Williams; aunt who was like a mother, Vashti Williams; brothers Forrest Rice, Torrest Rice, and Deandre Williams; Sister, Cassandra Joyce; cousins, Renee Nasiri, Gregg Lloyd, Brian Williams, Ilia Smith-Randle, and Kamilah Smith; with many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Forrest David Rice; maternal grandparents, John and Ceola Williams; paternal grandmother, Asalee Saunders; aunts, Joann Williams, and Diane Williams; cousin, Sean Pearson.
