Norman Wagner passed away on March 3, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on December 13, 1931 in Chicago to Caroline and Jacob Wagner. He graduated from high school in Lake Worth, Florida and returned to Chicago after meeting his future wife, Shirley Sartorius. They were married in 1954 and became parents of three children.

Norm was a Distribution Director for a number of companies therefore there were moves from Chicago to Boston, New Jersey, Columbus, Ohio and Green Bay, WI, making friends along the way.  After retirement, Norm and Shirley moved to the Freeport area to be closer to family. They bought a parcel of land from the Sartorius property and built their home. When Norm was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease they decided to move to Texas where devoted family was with care and support.  Norm was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He will be remembered for his steady grace and courage and his devotion to his friends and family.  Norm possessed a gallant wit and charismatic personality as well as an unusual ability to form enduring relationships that enriched all those he touched.

Norm was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jacob and George; son-in-law Stanley Smith; and three infant grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory:  wife, Shirley; daughter, Norma (Paul) Meinen of Roanoke, TX; son, Scott (Shauna) Wagner of Reading, MA; and daughter, Julie Smith of Littleton, MA. Grandchildren, Emily and Graham (Carolyn) Meinen.  Charles, Laura, Thomas and Lucy Wagner, Jennifer and Benjamin Smith. Great- Grandchildren, Tucker and Tanner Meinen.
