Norman Taylor Norman Taylor, 84 of Walnut Hill, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at Centralia Fireside House.

He was born August 21, 1932 in Albers, son of William Taylor and Gertrude (Evans) Taylor.

He married Rita Santel on April 26, 1955 and she survives in Walnut Hill. In addition to his wife of 61 years, he is also survived by two sons: David Taylor and wife Holly of Lebanon, Missouri and John Taylor and wife Cindy of Centralia; four grandchildren: Amanda Heath, Melissa Defend and husband Ryan, Nathan Taylor and wife Liz and Cassie Stover and husband Chris all of Centralia; seven great-grandchildren; a brother: Jim Taylor of Breese; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Wilson Taylor and Billie Taylor, and two sisters: Opal Suhl and Betty Forgarty.

Norman was an over the road truck driver since he was 16 years old. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Church in Centralia. He was also a member of the Centralia V.F.W. Post 2055 and Centralia American Legion Post 446.

Norman enjoyed fishing and hunting. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.
