Norman R. Slater, Sr. 79, of Scotland, CT died Friday, October 25, 2019. Born to the late Blanche (Russ) and Ernest Slater. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Viola (Cone) Slater; sons Norman Jr., Michael (Donna), and Tom Slater; daughter Susan Slater; sister Marilyn Slater; grandchildren Heather, Christine, Norman III, Briana, Sarah, Madison, Chase, Jessica, Nick, and Timmy; and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his brothers Larry, Donald, and Roland Slater. Norman loved motorcycles, working on cars, airplanes, and life itself. He was always there for his children and grandchildren. Norman also enjoyed being a caterer for his brother.
