Norman Lee Williamson, 60, of Cloudcroft, NM, died Thursday, January 17 at his home.

He was born December 24, 1947 in Detroit, MI to Clifford Lee and Vivian (Temple) Williamson. He was a highly decorated U. S. Army veteran having served three tours in Vietnam in Special Forces with the Green Berets and the Airborne with the Screaming Eagles. He retired as Sergeant Major on March 8, 1974. He was a volunteer Deputy with the Otero County Sheriff’s Department. He was very loved by his friends and family. Most of all, he was always a soldier.

He is survived by one daughter, Stacie M. Blodgett and husband Paul; one son, Norman Lee Williamson, Jr. and four grandchildren, all of Wichita Falls, TX; a brother, Robert D. Williamson and wife, Norma of Symsonia, KY; a nephew, Robert D. Williamson, Jr. and wife, Shelly of Oklahoma City, OK; two nieces, Melissa Diaz and husband, Manuel, Jr. of Wichita Falls, TX and Robin Stuyck and husband, Bob of Ford, VA and his best friend, his West Highland Terrier, Rob Roy Williamson.
