Norman E. Koss, a thirty-two year resident of Fountain Hills, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 at 89 years old.

Born on March 10, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan, Norm was an avid Tigers fan until he switched allegiances to the Diamondbacks after retiring to Fountain Hill. He attended Wayne State University and worked in commercial photography and advertising at General Motors Photographic for thirty-seven years. His passion and skill as a photographer were captured in his images of his family and desert landscapes.

A World War II veteran, Norm served in the U.S. Navy on one of the thirty eight ships deployed to the Battle of Okinawa. He remained stationed there for two years following the end of the war.

He met his wife of 61 years, Christine, while they were both employed by General Motors.
