Norman John Wolf, 55, of Walker, MN passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in Walker.
He was born on December 2, 1956 in Blue Island, Illinois the son of Herman and Eileen (McLeod) Wolf.
Norm helped in various auto shops as he was growing up. He graduated from Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in Blue Island, IL on June 19, 1974. Following high school he worked in the steel mills of Chicago. In 1980 Norm moved to Walker and took a job with Cochran Marina. It was then that he met Dawn Marie Wilcowski. They were united in marriage at the Community Church of Walker in September of 1982. Being the over worker that Norm was, he often moonlighted fixing cars. This led to the opening Norm’s Auto Body shop in 1986. Norm was so dedicated to starting his own shop that he was often find him there seven days a week. He was very good at thinking outside the box, coming up with solutions that would leave people stunned. Norm loved driving anything that had a motor and of course it had to be fast. If it wasn’t up to Norm’s speed, he was sure to modify it.
Norm had a passion for life, and he gave that impression to everyone he met.
He will be missed by all.
Norm was preceded in death by one brother Raymond.
He is survived by his wife Dawn Marie of Walker, MN, sons; Jason (Debby Kramer) and Nick (Shannon Wittner) both of Walker, MN, sisters; Val Sawvel Gall of Colorado, Sharon Maples of Rolla, MO, parents; Herman Wolf of Chicago, IL and Eileen Wolf of Rolla, MO.
