Norman “Jack” Watson, 78, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. Born in Linton, Indiana, on January 28, 1929, he was the son of William Watson and Ina Mae (Cox) Chipman. He married Norma N. Brookshire on January 10, 1959.

Jack was a Korean War veteran. He worked for the City of Linton Police Department for 38 years and as the Chief of Police for 18 of those years. Jack also served on the Greene County Council. He retired in 2001.

Survivors include his wife, Norma N. Watson; one son, Mike (Susie) Goodman of Brazil; three grandchildren: Jeff (Ashley) Goodman, Justin and Zachary Goodman; and one great-grandson, Michael D. Goodman, one brother, Gene (Bernadine) Chipman of Salem, OR; niece, Rachelle (Doug) Smother of Salem, OR; nephew, Jeff (Tylee) Chipman of Salem, OR, and other extended family members.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Mary Ann Sons.
