Norman Clyde Powers, 78, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the Hospice Center, Health First Cape Canaveral Hospital, Cocoa Beach.
Norman was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to parents Norman Edgar and Mary Belle Powers. He was very close to his Powers’s family including Betty Dingfelder, Claudia Veve, Jackie Pennington, Nancy Morales, Deborah Klosik and many nieces and nephews.
Norman was a proud father to two daughters from his first marriage: Tammy Powers and Ramona Powers.
Norman’s marriage to wife of 40 years, Tina Powers, bloomed another family is his life, the Johnson family: Elsa Johnson, Billy Johnson, Douglas Johnson, Judy Johnson, Heidi Johnson and many more nieces and nephews.
He was a genuine guy with lots of spunk, enjoyed socializing with people and had a big heart for family, children, animals and helping people.
At the age of 16, he joined the U. S.
He had a great passion for golf, horse racing and attended annually the Kentucky Derby.
We will miss Norman’s generous and warm personality along with his wonderful talents. He truly believed in putting great efforts into a hard day’s work and is finally resting in peace.
