Norman Charles Heim, 96, of Manchester, NJ, died on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at his home. Norman was born in Newark, NJ, and lived in Westfield, NJ for 20 years before moving to Leisure Village West, Manchester Twp., NJ in 1984.

He graduated from Irvington High School in Irvington, NJ in 1937. He was a licensed New Jersey Insurance Broker for many years and worked in the Business Administration Department for Anheuser Busch in Newark, NJ, retiring in 1984. Norman was an active member of the Leisure Village West Golf Club and served on the Board of Directors. He was also Vice President, a member of the Board of Directors and on the Executive Board for the Lakehurst Council of the US Navy League, was the editor of the council newsletter, The Trident, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Union, NJ. He was a sports enthusiast, playing football, baseball, softball, and golf. Norman was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Helen Heim.

He is survived by his two daughters, Candace Bowers and her husband David of Tampa, FL, and Patricia Talerico and her husband Ronald of Clark, NJ, and his grandson, Ryan Bowers of Denver, CO.
