Norma Margaret Pyle, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at the age of 85. She was born in Kalamazoo on June 4, 1929, the daughter of the late Anthony and Helen Potter Redmond. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. She volunteered with Hope Companions, served as a Pink Lady at Borgess Hospital and was an election pole worker in Kalamazoo. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved to spend time with her family. She was married to John H. Pyle Sr. on November 20, 1948; he preceded her in death on January 5, 1993.
She is survived by ten children and their spouses, Connie and Eugene Dexter of Jackson, Carol and John Deschermeier of Petoskey, Coleen and James Henry of Venice, FL, Amy and Dennis Lemmer of Portage, James and Cindy Pyle of Gobles, Cynthia Slack of Kalamazoo, Benjamin and Susan Hamel-Pyle of Kalamazoo, Stephen Pyle and Evelyn Pyle of Parchment, Scott and Denise Pyle of Climax and Peter and Cheryl Pyle of Allegan; 28 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Barbara Blank; one sister-in-law, Joan George; several nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Wilbur.
She was preceded in death by her son, John H. Pyle Jr.; two granddaughters, Amy Glittenberg and Kimberly Pyle; and one great-great-granddaughter, Katelyn Casson.
