Norma June (Cherry) Matthias, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016. She was born on August 9, 1927 to the late George L. and Dorothy Elizabeth (Gue) Cherry. Norma was married to William H. Matthias, Jr. on September 18, 1948. She was employed as an assistant manager at JoAnn Fabrics for 12 years, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed all things related to sewing, knitting, quilting and crafts.
Norma is survived by her son William H. (Cathy) Matthias, III; daughters Kathy Kay Matthias and Mitzi Mae (Roy) Wright; granddaughters Regan and Riley Wright. She is preceded in passing by her husband, parents and son Mark Alan Matthias.
