Norma Jean (Wolfe) Shaffer 77, of Masontown passed away Saturday November 26, 2011 at Monongalia General Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in Rock Forge November 29, 1933 a daughter of the late Andrew and Ruth (Johnson) Wolfe.
In addition to being a mother, homemaker and farmer she had worked at Northwest Airlines, Sterling Faucet, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Greer, Titus Machine Shop, Preston Packing Inc., and last employed at Valley Pharmacy. She was a member of the Masontown Women’s Club, President of the North Central District of GFWC, Preston County Farm Bureau, Masontown Extension Homemakers, and a founding member of the Country Extenson Homemakers. She loved to paint and sew.
Survivors: two daughters and spouses Janet E. and Philip Gregg and Phyllis J. and Ronnie N. Greathouse; five grandchildren Chris Gregg, Jennifer (Brian) Spiker, Skip (Belinda) Greathouse, Tammy (Darrell) Chipps, and Jeff Greathouse (Ellen Sypolt); and seventeen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years Phillip “Ted” Shaffer in June 2011; Sisters Opalee Simms and Hattie Shaffer.
