NORMA JEAN WEAVER HOUSLEY passed away peacefully on February 18, 2017 in Boise, Idaho at the age of 87.
She is survived by her children, Paul Ralph Housley (Columbia, S.C.), Kathleen Housley and Peter Steege (Denver, CO.), Alyson Ogata (Boise, ID.), David Joseph Housley (Seattle, WA.), her grandchildren, Laura Jean Housley (Ann Arbor, MI.), and Christian Paul Ogata (Las Vegas, NV.).
She is preceded in death by her father, Miles Junius Weaver, mother Charlotte Irene Moon Weaver, and husband Ralph Sherman Housley, sisters Laverda Richards, Leona Rydalch, June King, Hazel Hendricks, and brother Miles Weaver.
Norma Jean was born on November 30, 1929 in Egin, Idaho. She graduated from St. Anthony High School and attended Utah State and Ricks College. She married her high school sweetheart, Ralph Sherman Housley, on July 29, 1950.
After moving to Idaho Falls, she began working for Mountain Bell as a business office supervisor. Her children and grandchildren remember her as a hard working, intelligent, and dedicated woman who encouraged them to pursue their goals and higher education.
