Norma “Jean” (Hopwood) Webber, 94, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Indianapolis.
Jean was born on January 7, 1928 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late John and Luella (DeCamp) Hopwood.
Jean attended Cosmetology School and worked independently for many years cutting hair for customers, friends, and family members. She worked full time for several years at the State of Indiana Parks Department and worked part time at LS Ayres. She also worked part time for Crystal Catering and the Marriott as a banquet server after her retirement to keep active. She enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren, visiting St. Pete Beach annually with her family, growing roses in her yard, and collecting dolls and rare glass pieces.
Jean’s passion in life was thrifting and going to garage sales with her late daughter, Pam. She was always looking for an opportunity to make it rich, but her ultimate riches in life came through her having such an amazing family.
Jean is survived by her children, Sherry Archer, Stan (Sheryl Benoist) Bush, Debbie (Randy) Wagner, and Kevin Bush; her grandchildren, Troy (Sarah) Hines, Lance Archer, Heather (Bob) Engle, Brandon (Christina) Fox, Rachel Wagner, Joel Wagner, Candy (David Garza) Wagner, Rachel Bush, Kim Bush, Heather Luscier, and Zachariah Richards; her great-grandchildren, Gracie, Isabelle, and Eli Hines, Justice (Joe Draper) Archer, Hudson Engle, Elisa Fox, Austin (Alisha) Shumate, Alisha (Adam) Thoma, Brittany, Erica, Jacob, and Joshua Luke, Anniston Wagner, Liam and Elliana Garza, Hailey, Hannah, and Tyler Bush; her great-great-grandchildren, Willow and Whitney Shumate, Kamryn and Carson Noah, and Jackson Thoma; her sisters, Frances Day, Virginia Elder, and Shirley Walling.
Jean was preceded in death by her children, Pam Fox and Eric Bush; her grandchild, Randy Luke; her parents, John and Luella Hopwood; her siblings, Huldah Oswald, Mary Hopwood, Russell Hopwood, Mildred Schaly, William Hopwood, and Paul Hopwood.
