Norma Jean Holt, 87, of Terre Haute, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in her residence.
She was born April 8, 1925 in Terre Haute to Harold D. Gasaway and Juanita Rees Gasaway.
Norma was a graduate of Wiley High School. She was a homemaker and worked as a sales clerk at Roots Department Store for 21 years. Norma loved to be outdoors and gardening. She was a Ping Pong champion in high school. She and her husband liked to go boating and fishing. She lived for her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd Holt, who died in January 1983. Norma and Lloyd were married 41 years. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Gasaway, Jr., sister, Juanita Maloof, grandson David Thomson, and nephews, Jeff Holt and Richard Maloof.
Norma is survived by two sons, Hal Holt and his wife, Linda, and Ron Holt and his wife, Lisa, all of Terre Haute; three daughters, Lloydine Manning and her husband, Mike of Terre Haute, Norma Bryan and her husband, Larry of West Terre Haute, and Bunny Thomson of Paris, Kentucky, and her husband, Jim of Camden, Ohio. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and 2 nieces and nephews.
