Norma Jean Lane Hardison was born September 23, 1933 in Colbert, Oklahoma, the daughter of John Riley Lane and Bessie Mae Helton Lane. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 19, 2022.
Norma graduated Ardmore High School, and married the love of her life, Alvin Hardison, on February 14, 1957. Alvin preceded her in death on September 27, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her mother and father, brother, R.E. Lane, and sisters, Darlene Miller and Beverly Taylor.
Norma was co-owner of Picture Book Cakes with her sister, Beverly Taylor, and was co-owner of The Colonnade Cafe in downtown Ardmore. She enjoyed gardening, and sewing. She was a member of The Maranatha Baptist Church.
Norma is survived by her daughters, Vicki Otey of Oklahoma City, Kenna Striplin of Moore, brother, Johnny Lane of Ardmore, granddaughters, Leslie Walters, Shanna Dougherty, and Elisha Nelson, great grandchildren, Jessica, Megan, LeeAnn, Taylor, Samantha, Tabitha, and Morgan, and 4 great great grandchildren.
