Norma Jean Gilkey nee Robison died peacefully at Ashley Manor in Eagle, Idaho, December 7. She was 81 years old.
Born in Newton, Kansas, on June 6, 1928, Norma moved with her family to Twin Falls, Idaho, when she was three. She graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1945 and married Lloyd M. Gilkey in June 1947. They moved to Boise in 1950, where they raised four children.
Norma’s beloved husband died in 1972, followed by a son, Douglas George, in 1978.
She is survived by one of three sisters, Genevee Burleson, and one of two brothers, Arba Ewing Robison, Jr., as well as by three of her four children, Linda World, Lloyd Morgan Gilkey, Jr., and Robert William Gilkey; three grandchildren, Heather World, Brian Gilkey, and Shana Gilkey Deuel; and three great grandchildren, Benjamin Isaac Lanir, Cecilia Linda Lanir, and Tasia Lillie Deuel. Her family misses her dearly.
