Norma Jean (Lucas) Avery, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and dear friend to many, passed on to heaven at the age of 87, on June 8, 2021.
Norma Jean was born in Boone, CO on September 8, 1933 to Tony and Ina (Selby) Lucas (Sindt). She graduated from Fountain Valley High School in 1951. Norma married Billy Joe Avery and they had four children, Bruce, Bryan, John and Katrina and were blessed with six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Norma Jean is survived by her son Bryan and daughter Katrina; daughters-in-law Geni and Phyllis; her grandchildren Tania and Chad, Heather, Joseph and Shayna, and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Julien, Connor, Ava, Emma, Dominic, Jade, Noah, Easton, Jonah, and Mason, Braxton,
Greyson, and Ahna; sister Sally (Lucas) Foster, brother Eddy Sindt and sister-in-law Kathy Bates-Sindt. Norma was precede in death by her parents, husband Bill, sons Bruce and John and sisters Francina and Kathrine.
Norma Jean was part of a very large loving extended family. There were many great times shared at reunions, on vacations and at family events. Norma loved to have fun and was such a blessing to her family and friends and she will be greatly missed -until we meet again at the glorious reunions in heaven!
